What is IUOE?

The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is the largest equipment operator union in North America. Represents 400,000+ members across US, Canada, and internationally.

IUOE Apprenticeship

Duration: 24 months (on-job + classroom)

Requirements: Age 18+, pass background check, physical exam

Classroom: ~120 hours/year (winter schedule, evenings)

On-job: ~2,000 hours/year (paid work on union jobsites)
