Rollover Recovery

If your equipment tips:

1. STAY INSIDE CAB (safest place). Don't jump.
2. Brace yourself, hold on.
3. Wait for rescue crew (site supervisor calls for help).
4. Don't attempt to right machine yourself (too dangerous).

Rescue Procedures

Site supervisor's responsibility:

• Call 911 for medical emergency
• Notify WorkSafe (serious incidents)
• Use recovery crane or rigging to right machine
• Inspect machine before returning to service
• Get statement from operator
• Investigate root cause

Communication

On jobsite: Establish clear radio channels. Operators must have communication (radio, cell, two-way).

Emergency numbers: Post 911, site supervisor, WorkSafe contact on every machine.

First Aid Basics

• Bleeding: Apply pressure with clean cloth. Elevate if possible.
• Fracture: Don't move. Splint in place. Call ambulance.
• Chest injury: Keep person lying down. Call 911 immediately.
• Heat stroke: Get to shade, drink water, cool body with wet cloth.
• Always call 911 if uncertain or injury is serious.
